Xiaonei Expands Target Audience

Chinese social networking site Xiaonei announced today that it has repositioned itself as an "interactive communications platform" and has officially begun using a new logo. Joe Chen, CEO of Xiaonei, stated that the site has shifted its target age group from youth to users of all ages. According to data provided by Xiaonei, the site currently has a registered user base of 40 mln, 15 mln of whom are listed as white-collar workers. The site records daily page views of 400 mln, and expects to break even in the first half of 2009.
