Sohu to Launch Web Browser

A source at Internet portal Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU) confirmed today that the company plans to launch a web browser, however a firm timetable for the release of such a product has not yet been set.
According to another source, during a speech at Tsinghua University on December 6, Sohu's senior vice president, Wang Xiaochuan, revealed that the distinguishing feature of the new browser will be its ability to directly access international Internet sites from the China Education and Research Network (CERNET).
