The9 Threatens Suit Over Exploitation Accusations

Chinese online game developer and operator The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) has sent a letter to the Beijing Business Today newspaper saying it is considering legal action over an article published yesterday. The article claimed that The9 exploited gamers by inflating the prices of security devices that prevent player accounts being hacked or stolen for its licensed MMORPG World of Warcraft (WoW), and overplayed the security threats to the game, in order to generate extra profit.
