Baidu Appoints GM of Digital Entertainment

Chinese online search firm Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) has announced the appointment of Catherine Leung as general manager of its digital entertainment division. Leung has over 15 years experience in the music industry, and before joining Baidu was the general manager of Universal Music China. A spokesperson for Baidu stated that the appointment was designed to help promote the connection between traditional music companies and digital entertainment.
