Oak Pacific to Invest RMB 500 Mln in Browser Games

Chinese Internet platform provider Oak Pacific Interactive officially announced a RMB 500 mln initiative today named "Plan-V" that will be directed at supporting small- and medium-sized browser game developers, and for purchasing licenses to operate games. Oak Pacific plans to make use of its two large online social networking communities, Mop and Xiaonei, in the hopes of registering a total of 86 mln users for its gaming platform. Oak Pacific CEO Joe Chen stated that the V in Plan-V stands for Victory and also the Roman numeral 5, which is representative of the RMB 500 mln investment.
