Hacker Sends SMS Spam via China Mobile Network

An Internet hacker based in Hangzhou recently remotely broke into 19 Jiaxing Mobile SMS servers in Zhejiang Province, and sent more than 730,000 unauthorized SMS ads through the China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) network. The hacker caused a total loss of over RMB 36,000 for Jiaxing Mobile during a total of 63 illegal intrusions. Investigators believe the actions constitute theft, and will pursue public prosecution.
