Google China Sued for Patent Infringement

Wang Youwei, a retired professor at Anhui Radio and Television University and an inventor and researcher of Chinese character sentence input methods, recently discovered that the results of Google China's Google Pinyin Input Method are similar to those of his own recently patented Chinese Sentence Input Method. Wang believes that Google has infringed his patent rights, and has brought suit against Google in Heifei Intermediate People's Court, seeking compensation of RMB 1 mln. The court will hear the case today.
