China Tietong Fined for Copyright Infringement

The Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court in Shanghai recently found China Tietong guilty of copyright infringement, after a manufacturer and reseller of telephone cards for Wuhan Tietong printed a card decorated with the painting "Lin Daiyu Buries Fallen Flowers" by the well-known painter Liu Danzhai. The court ordered the company to pay RMB 20,000 in compensation and issue a public apology via selected media.
