Baidu Q3 2008 Profit Up 91%

Chinese online search firm Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) has announced its unaudited financial results for Q3 2008, with net revenues reaching RMB 919.1 mln (USD 135.4 mln), up 85.1% year-on-year.
Net income for the quarter came to RMB 347.9 mln (USD 51.2 mln), up 91.4% YoY.
Online marketing revenues for Q3 were RMB 918.2 mln, up 85.1% YoY..
During Q3, Baidu had more than 194,000 active online marketing customers, up 7.2% QoQ and 35.7% YoY. Revenue per active online marketing customer for the quarter came to RMB 4,700 (USD 692), up 6.8% QoQ and 34.3% YoY.
In Q4 2008, Baidu expects to generate total revenues in an amount ranging from RMB 1.02 bln (USD 151 mln) to RMB 1.06 bln (USD 155 mln), representing an 80% to 85% increase from the corresponding period in 2007 and a 12% to 15% increase from the Q3 2008.
