Online Ad Agents Required to Pay Tax

Beijing Star Daily, 10/23/08

China's State Administration of Taxation has recently indicated that all organizations which are entrusted to carry out advertising work must abide by the related state regulations on taxation. These regulations apply regardless of the media in which the advertising is taking place, including the Internet, and apply regardless of whether the organization is licensed to provide advertising services by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC). The total tax paid by advertising agents should be calculated on the basis of overall business revenue.
