CNNIC: China Nearly Out of IP Addresses
Cqnews, 9/22/08
The 2008 IP Address Resource Research Forum, managed by the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) and others, recently convened in the Tianhe Software Park in Guangzhou. At the forum it was revealed that China is already using 80% of its IPv4 IP address resources, and will allocate the remaining 20% within approximately 830 days at current rates of growth. By 2010, if China does not use new IP address resources, new Internet users will be unable to access the internet and network operators will be unable to expand their services.
