Lenovo to Discount Select Laptop Models by 20%

Recently, a channel partner of laptop and PC manufacturer Lenovo (0992.HK) revealed that the company plans a large cut in notebook computer prices this September. The discounts, said to be approximately 20%, will appear across Lenovo's Tianyi and Xuri series of notebooks.
With Lenovo looking to strengthen its IdeaPad brand, it is said that the discounting of its Tianyi and Xuri line of products, is designed to help to clear inventory and recover costs in preparation for the marketing of new brands.
