China Mobile Launches Handset Retail Outlet

On September 2, China Mobile's (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) RMB 200 mln new "Xin Ji" branded handset center opened its doors in Chengdu. The new center diverges from the traditional, glass-cabinet handset retail model by combining mobile entertainment, interactive games, service experience demonstrations, and handset sales together as an integrated whole.
"Xin Ji" refers to custom-designed, China Mobile-branded mobiles ordered from manufacturers.
