Focus Media Q2 2008 Net Profit Down 4%

Chinese digital media firm Focus Media (Nasdaq: FMCN) has announced its unaudited financial results for Q2 2008, with total revenues reaching USD 211.7 mln, up 106.8% year-on-year and 31.1% quarter-on-quarter.

Net income for the quarter came to USD 36.1 mln, down 4.2% YoY, but up compared to the previous quarter's loss of USD 53.8 mln.

Q2 revenue from digital out-of-home advertising was USD 135.4 mln, up 76.2% year-on-year and 24.4% quarter-on-quarter. Internet advertising revenue was USD 76.1 mln, up 201.7% year-on-year and 53.6% quarter-on-quarter.

The company estimates Q3 2008 revenues will range from USD 225 mln to USD 235 mln.
