Rumor: China Yahoo to Enter Game Market

Industry sources are claiming that China Yahoo, a subsidiary of the Alibaba Group, has been in contact with several Chinese online game companies regarding making an entry into the Chinese online game market. At the recent ChinaJoy digital entertainment expo, several people from the online game industry mentioned that China Yahoo had been making contact with figures from within the industry.
China Yahoo has denied the claims, saying it has no plans to enter the online game market, and is instead concentrating on the e-commerce and lifestyle services fields.
