Rumor: Giant to Purchase Game Operator

Informed sources claim that Chinese online game developer and operator Giant Interactive (NYSE: GA) is gearing up for a high-priced USD 500 mln purchase of a Chinese online game operator, and is already in the detailed stages of negotiation with the operator. Industry figures speculate that only game operator 9You could attract such a high valuation.
Editor's Note: Both Giant and 9You have denied such rumors, however Giant did confirm that it is in talks to purchase an online game operator. 9You's president, Wu Jun, also revealed this year's revenue target is RMB 1.2 bln.
