China Yahoo Apologizes to Qihoo

Alibaba subsidiary China Yahoo has issued an apology on its home page to Chinese anti-malware developer Qihoo for uncompetitive behavior used by Yahoo Assistant against Qihoo's 360 Safe Guard anti-malware product. China Yahoo stated that both sides have reconciled their differences

Editors Note: In December 2007, China Yahoo won an unfair competition suit against Qihoo, which required Qihoo to pay close to RMB 100,000 in costs and damages. See "Yahoo Wins Lawsuit Against Qihoo" MD 12/22/07 issue.
