SKT, SMG Ally on New Media

On June 23, SK Telecom (China) and the Shanghai Media Group (SMG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on in-depth cooperation, covering bi-directional new technology and service provision partnerships in the interactive media, mobile phone TV, IPTV and cultural sectors.

SMG content will be made available in Korea via SK Telecom's technology and channels, while SK Telecom's entertainment resources will be offered on SMG's platforms in China.

SMG subsidiary Dragon New Media and SK Telecom's Chinese subsidiary Via-SK have also signed a framework agreement for an exclusive partnership on wireless value-added services (WVAS).
