MII Plans TD-SCDMA Development Support Policies

The Ministry of Industry and Information (MII) said on June 17 that it wants to speed up TD-SCDMA network optimization and 2G and 3G interoperability, improve mobile handsets and increase TD-SCDMA marketing. The ministry is currently working with other government departments on policies to support TD-SCDMA, including the allocation of assets, tax policy, expansion of TD-SCDMA value-added services (VAS) and improvement of network construction.
