Chinese online game developer and operator The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) confirmed yesterday that it was in talks with Blizzard regarding continuing its licensing of the game World of Warcraft after its license expires in 2009. The talks have entered a key period, said The9 president Chen Xiaowei, but as yet there is no timetable for a conclusion.
