Foxconn in Acquisition Talks with Longcheer

Investigations into a late April rumor that Foxconn (2038.HK; 2354.TW) would acquire mobile handset design house Longcheer between June and July revealed that both parties are currently considering such an arrangement, and that Longcheer Holdings had long planned to sell off Longcheer, while Foxconn had planned to strengthen its partnership with mobile R&D companies through acquisitions. At present, however, the acquisition has yet to be confirmed.
