Rumor: Unicom CEO to Head China Mobile

Hong Kong media today quoted an unnamed source as saying that China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) chairman and CEO Chang Xiaobing will be named as the next CEO of China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK). China Mobile's current CEO, Wang Jianzhou, will be promoted to chairman. In addition, China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) will acquire Unicom's CDMA network, and China Netcom (NYSE: CN; 0906.HK) may acquire a GSM license.
