Eachnet Reveals Strategy to Poach Taobao Sellers

E-commerce platform Tom Eachnet has recently announced a new plan aimed at attracting new sellers or existing sellers from other C2C sites. The plan includes admitting Taobao credit rankings, free store-opening and promotions, and free VIP service. Seller's credit rankings from Taobao will be converted to Eachnet credits on a proportional basis: Taobao sellers with "1 Diamond" or "2 Diamond" will earn an initial Eachnet credit ranking of 20; "3-5 Diamond" sellers will be given a ranking of 50, and "Crown" and above Taobao sellers will all be given a ranking of 100. Eachnet explained that according to a user survey, Eachnet buyers normally feel confident purchasing from sellers with rankings above 20.

Eachnet also revealed that it will gradually launch several other new applications and services, including IM and shopping cart.
