Wireless Device Chipset Developer Lands VC Funding

Shanghai-registered wireless technology company Panovel announced yesterday in Beijing that it had received a round of initial investment from GSR Ventures. No further information on the investment is available at this time.
Panovel focuses on developing WiMedia ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless chipsets for use in mobile devices and home networks. The company's low-cost, low-power chip design technology is capable of streaming video media data between different devices (e.g. cameras, computers, displays and printers), offering high-speed wireless sharing and transmission of data.
