China Mobile Releases Suishenting Music Service Statistics

By January 2008, more than 235,000 China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) subscribers had downloaded the "Suishenting" wireless music client, with 128,000 using the service to listen to music online - a total 2.37 mln songs. On average, users listened to 19 songs monthly. A total of 116,000 users downloaded complete songs, out of a total 1.88 mln downloads. Users subscribed to a total 28,000 ringback tones and downloaded 159,000 ringtones. The Suishenting wireless service is becoming one of China Mobile's main conduits for wireless music distribution.

The Suishenting service was rolled out to build upon China Mobile's "M.Music" wireless music club. After installing the Suishenting client on their mobile phones, users can listen to music online, download ringback tones and ringtones, browse the latest music and catch up on breaking entertainment news.
