Successor to TD-SCDMA Defined

At the 2008 China Telecommunications Annual Meeting, Wen Ku, Director-General of the Ministry of Information Industry (MII)'s Science and Technology Department stated that TD-SCDMA already has a complete industrial ecosystem comprised of chipsets, handsets, base stations, core networks, software and instrumentation. He also mentioned that TD-LTE, the evolutionary successor to TD-SCDMA has already been finalized.
