China Mobile's (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) RMB 35 bln EDGE expansion of the GSM network is coming to an end, but according to an industry insider, performance is not matching China Mobile's expectations. Downstream speeds are only reaching several dozen kbps, not adequate for services such as video-calling.
