China's Software Exports Increase 30%

During the first three quarters of 2007, China's software exports amounted to USD 690 mln, up 29.8% over the same period last year.
Japan has become China's largest overseas software market. During these first three quarters, China's software exports to Japan amounted to USD 430 mln, up 26.6% from last year and representing 63% of the total software export value during this period. Exports to the United States and Hong Kong totaled USD 90 mln and USD 80 mln, up 45.9% and 20.6%, respectively.

In terms of software type, applications software achieved an export value of USD 530 mln, or 76.9% of China's total software export value during the first three quarters of 2007.
