China Mobile Completes Four TD-SCDMA Networks

According to an insider at the TD-SCDMA Alliance, installation of base stations for trial TD-SCDMA networks has been completed in Qinhuangdao, Xiamen, Tianjin and Guangzhou. The networks are being constructed for China Mobile by equipment providers including ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ), Putian and Datang Mobile.

According to the source, the 3,700 TD-SCDMA handsets that China Mobile is in the process of procuring are for internal testing by engineers.
