UUSee to Upgrade Community Channel

One of China's leading online video sites, UUSee.com, has upgraded its community channel. The new functions will allow users to establish their own groups based around their preferred themes. Users can create and edit topics and link these to images and videos.
UUSee's video software has been downloaded 70 mln times, the site receives 40 mln page views per day and has 10 mln active users.
LENS: Founded in 2004, UUSee focuses on P2P online video services, and has already received two rounds of funding (See UUSee Wins US$20 Mln Second Round Funding, MW 03/09/07 issue). The company has set up content partnerships with CCTV (see UUSee Cooperates with CCTV6, MW 08/31/07 issue), SMG, Beijing TV, Phoenix TV, Liaoning TV, China Entertainment Television Broadcast (CETV), and other independent content providers, such as Disney, ESPN, Enlight Media and CBN. It has also grown its ad client portfolio, with online games "ZT Online" and "World of Warcraft", Motorola, Li-Ning, Sony and Honda all launching promotions through UUSee this year. At the end of October, another German VC group also entered into discussions with UUSee.
