China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) has opened its first handset retail outlet in Chengdu.
The store offers hundreds of models from over ten manufacturers, and uses various methods, including talk time offers, to attract customers. It is not yet clear if this is a move by the local China Mobile subsidiary, or a nationwide strategy.
