NetEase Breaks into Smart Device Market

Chinese internet company NetEase (Nasdaq: NTES) recently announced that it is entering the smart hardware market and that its first set of products are currently available for pre-sale reservation at the official NetEase online store.

The first set of NetEase smart hardware products include a smart power strip, portable charger, and high-speed chargers and data cables for Apple and Android products.

The smart power strip and smart charger products can automatically recognize different types of connected devices and adjust their current and charge speed accordingly to avoid harming the devices.

NetEase is also reportedly developing additional smart hardware products including audio, air purification, virtual reality (VR) camera, and micro-recorder products. Some of the products are covered by a lifetime free return policy.
