Focus Media, Westhouse Partner on Mobile Gaming

Chinese advertising network operator Focus Media and mobile game developer Westhouse, a subsidiary of Chinese internet company Kingsoft (3888.HK), have jointly announced that the companies will partner on mobile game online and offline advertising, as well as mobile game distribution. The companies have also announced that Focus Media CEO Jason Jiang will act as the official spokesperson for Westhouse's licensed mobile MMORPG Soul Sword Online (Sanguo Zhanshen). Neither side has commented on rumors of a possible investment in Westhouse by Focus Media.
Sanguo Zhanshen, which enters open beta testing on September 25 and runs on the Unity 3D engine, is the first mobile game licensed for operation by Westhouse. During the game's closed beta period revenues reportedly approached an RMB 8-digit figure.
