51Buy to Launch 2-Hour Delivery Service
Ebrun, 5/14/13
A source at Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent's (0700.HK) consumer electronics B2C e-commerce site 51Buy revealed to Ebrun that it will start offering expedited delivery services, including two-hour guaranteed delivery to customers, in the future. 51Buy will build more than ten logistics bases this year in cities across China, including Chengdu, Jinan, Fuzhou, and Changchun. Furthermore, 51Buy will begin making two to three warehouse shipments per day to core cities that are within a 200 kilometer radius of the company's warehouse bases. The company already makes three warehouse shipments per day in a few cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chongqing, and Wuhan. 51Buy is also working with third-party logistics partners to offer COD services in 1,000 cities across the country.
