35% of iOS Devices in China Are Jailbroken

According to recently released figures from mobile application analytics platform Umeng, one of Chinese venture capital firm Innovation Works' start-up firms, 34.6% of iOS devices in China are jailbroken. The percentage of iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4 devices that have been jailbroken exceeds 38%, while just 27% of iPods are jailbroken, making the iPod the iOS device with the lowest jailbreak penetration.
According to the report, 93% of iOS devices in China are iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch, or iPad devices, with iPhone 4 smartphones accounting for 54%, iPhone 3GS handsets accounting for 16.1%, and iPod Touch 4 devices accounting for 8.7%.
85.1% of iOS devices use either version 4.1 or version 4.2, while 91.7% of iOS devices run version 4.0 or above.

iPhone users were most active between the hours of 8 A.M. and 7 P.M., while iPad users were more active than iPhone users after 7 P.M.
The largest portion of iOS device users were found in Guangdong (12%), Shanghai (11%), Beijing (11%), Zhejiang (10%), and Jiangsu (8%), while the same provinces had 17%, 9%, 9%, 7%, and 7% of China's Android device users, respectively.
