Following the release of the "Weixin Wo" SIM card by Chinese internet firm Tencent (0700.HK) and China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) in Guangdong in August 2013, which offered Guangzhou Unicom subscribers discounted mobile data for exclusive use on Tencent's WeChat (Weixin) mobile instant messaging app, the two companies have launched Weixin Wo SIM cards in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shaanxi provinces.
