At the IEEE World Communications Summit's Forum on Broadband Technology Development, China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) Chief Engineer Wei Leping said that two rounds of testing during H2 2007 showed that VDSL2 did not appear to have any problems, and predicted that the technology could go into large-scale commercial applications in early 2009.
