Sanlian Changes Management Team

Home appliance retailer Sanlian Commercial (600898.SH) has announced significant changes to its management team. Wang Junzhou, executive vice president of home appliance retailer Gome (0493.HK), will take on responsibilities as chairman of Sanlian and Sun Yiding, general manager of Gome's North China Region, will become Sanlian's new vice chairman. Gome's Wang Jian and Rong Ze will become Sanlian's general manager and CFO respectively.

Former Sanlian general manager Zhang Yan, board secretary Song Hongqi, and CFO Yue Xiantang were all removed from their posts.

Editor's Note: Sanlian Commercial was recently the subject of a hostile takeover by Gome, and the Sanlian Group has launched legal action to have Gome's purchase of Sanlian Commercial shares ruled invalid.
