Qihoo 360 Revamps Web Directory Site

Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) quietly released a revamped version of its hao.360.cn online web directory last night, adding a bar at the top of the page that allows users to link to sections that aggregate content into different content categories, including news headlines, videos and movies, and online games.

Qihoo 360 explained that the revision is a continuation of the company's efforts to make the web directory more customized and content-oriented. Last year, the web directory added an area on the left-hand side that featured links to news, videos, games, jokes, and other content. The site reached over 60 mln daily page views in 2012.

The head of Qihoo 360's web directory noted that the proportion of the webpage that features content will continue to increase, but the page will still serve primarily as an online web directory.
