Rumor: 360Buy to Launch Online Ad System

Beijing-based B2C e-commerce platform 360Buy has been quietly developing an online advertising auction platform for its open platform merchants to be released shortly, says an industry source.
According to multiple 360Buy merchant partners, the system will adopt a similar business model to Taobao and Tmall's cost-per-click (CPC) system for display and search ads.
360Buy posted recruiting notices through various channels in August 2012 seeking search advertising engineers.
Previously, 360Buy only received advertising revenue from sales of display ads on its homepage, and has not yet launched search advertising.
Editor's Note: 360Buy confirmed to Sina Tech that it is developing an advertising system for merchants on its open platform.
