Chinese internet company Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) has announced that in addition to including its core competitive products in news, e-mail, and online literature, Netease's 2012 London Olympics coverage strategy will include investment in mobile internet and mobile application products.

Li pointed out that compared to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, China's total mobile user population has grown from 70 mln to over 300 mln, and the number of users who can view Olympic events and related content via mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets has also grown.
Netease will partner with the International Sports Press Association, European Sports Magazines, the Chinese Olympics Committee's News Committee, and various domestic media outlets to satisfy user demand.
Netease will also form a specialized reporting team consisting of a dedicated broadcast studio, 50 journalists, four overseas reporting bureaus, and 488 editors to file reports, interviews, special coverage, photoessays, and short films in Netease's own signature style.
