Huawei, Nokia Siemens Join Second-Round TD-SCDMA Bidding

According to an insider at Datang Mobile, "China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) has had two companies join its second round of bidding for TD-SCDMA network equipment". These companies are Huawei and Nokia Siemens. Insiders at Huawei have confirmed that the company is independently entering the second round of bidding.
China Mobile has previously engaged in technology testing with equipment manufacturers as part of the bidding process for its second round of procurement, and is expected to release the results of these tests in two weeks at the earliest.
